West Brom close to Scott Allan deal

West Brom boss Roy Hodson admits that the club is close to signing Dundee's Scott Allan.

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he is close to agreeing a move for Dundee United star Scott Allan.

The Baggies have agreed a £400,000 fee with the Scottish club and Hodgson has stated that talks are underway.

"Scott's one of the most exciting talents in Scottish football. I hope we can persuade him his future lies here. He'll certainly come into the first-team squad straight away," Hodgson told The Sun.

Allan has made nine appearances for Dundee United this season.
