Scottish League One roundup: Dunfermline defeat Ayr to go three points clear

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action in Scottish League One.

Dunfermline Athletic have moved three points clear at the top of the Scottish League One table after beating second-placed Ayr United.

Michael Moffat's opener was cancelled out before half time by Gerry McLauchlan before David Hopkirk's 69th minute strike gave Dunfermline victory.

Albion Rovers remain in third after Gary Fisher's winner against Stenhousemuir, while Airdrieonians 3-1 win at Stranraer leaves the South-West club without a win in seven matches.

Elsewhere, Greig Spence scored the only goal of the game as Cowdenbeath beat Forfar Athletic and Brechin City gained their first point in four matches with a 1-1 draw against Peterhead.
