Gary Neville believes that his job with Sky will not affect his coaching role with England at this summer's European Championships.

New England coach Gary Neville has insisted that his job with Sky will not be a "problem" when he joins up with manager Roy Hodgson for the European Championships.

The former Manchester United defender was appointed to the Three Lions as part of the national side's coaching staff last week and the 37-year-old has claimed that he will be honest with the players during this summer's tournament.

"When I signed for Sky Sports there were a lot of questions asked about me, about me being a Manchester United player for 20 years, being friends with a lot of the changing room," Neville told Sky Sports News.

"I believe in honesty and if a football player makes a mistake, he has potentially a billion people watching it around the world depending on what game it is.

"He has his own manager, his own family, his own team-mates and more importantly he has got himself that will have spotted the mistake. So the idea that Gary Neville might have been in a studio and spotted and highlighted it, I don't see that being a problem."

England's Euro 2012 campaign kicks off next month.
