Bristol City goalkeeper David James has revealed that he has not giving up hope on representing England again.
The 41-year-old has not featured for Fabio Capello's side since the 4-1 defeat against Germany during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Nevertheless, James has confirmed that he is available should Capello come calling.
"I'd never give up the opportunity to put myself forward. If I'm fit enough to play for my club, then I'm fit enough to play for my country," the keeper told Sky Sports News.
"If needs be, I'd go out there and play. There's no higher reward than playing for your country."
James has made 53 appearances for the national team.
