England's Phil Jones is ruled out of Tuesday's friendly against Germany through injury.

England defender Phil Jones has been ruled out of Tuesday's friendly against Germany through injury.

The 21-year-old picked up a groin problem during the Three Lions' 2-0 defeat against Chile at Wembley Stadium on Friday.

He will now miss next week's encounter with the Germans after undergoing a scan.

Jones has won 11 caps for England at senior level following his debut two years ago.
