England's Phil Jagielka: 'Luis Suarez nearly impossible to handle'

England defender Phil Jagielka believes that Uruguay star Luis Suarez is nearly "impossible to handle" on the pitch.

England defender Phil Jagielka believes that Luis Suarez will prove to be a nuisance for the Three Lions if he features for Uruguay in their Group D World Cup clash next week.

The prolific Liverpool striker is racing to recover from knee surgery in time to open Uruguay's campaign against Costa Rica on Saturday.

England don't face the South American side until the following Thursday, but Jagielka believes that he and his teammates need to be wary of the entire team as opposed to just Suarez.

"He nearly is impossible to handle at times," the Liverpool Echo quotes Jagielka as saying. "Not only is he a very gifted individual but he seems to get the run of the ball most of the time which makes it even more frustrating.

"So he will be one of the players we will be looking at in that game, but they have a few other decent players so there is no point in us just focusing on Suarez. They have not qualified just because of Luis Suarez."

England will kick off their campaign against Italy in Manaus on Saturday.
