Espanyol 3-1 Racing Santander

Espanyol increase Racing Santander's relegation worries by coming from behind to beat them 3-1.

Espanyol came from behind to beat 10-man Racing Santander 3-1 in Barcelona tonight.

The visitors took the lead courtesy of Uruguayan forward Christian Stuani, who struck on twelve minutes.

Two goals in seven minutes then turned the game in favour of Espanyol as Joan Verdu and then Inter Milan loanee Phillipe Coutinho netted past Racing keeper Toño.

In between the two strikes, Marcos Gullón received his first booking, which was to be followed by another on 52 minutes, leaving Racing a man light for the remainder of the game.

Espanyol's numerical advantage told when Hector Moreno added a third to complete the scoring and secure consecutive wins for his side.
