Hannover scored two away goals as they twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Standard Liege in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie in Belgium.
Lars Stindl fired the hosts into a 22nd minute lead from the penalty spot, only for Yoni Buyens to draw the visitors level five minutes later.
However, Liege were back in front again just three minutes later as Mohammed Tchite headed in Serge Gakpe's cross.
Hannover were on even terms before the hour as on-loan Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf struck.
