Everton defender Phil Jagielka remains hopeful of making the England squad for Euro 2012.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has admitted that he is 'hopeful' of forcing himself into the England squad for Euro 2012.

The 29-year-old has recovered from a knee injury in recent weeks, and he has claimed that he deserves a chance.

"Hopefully I've played well enough in the last few weeks to at least be in with a shout," Jagielka told the club's official website.

Jagielka has 10 England caps to his name.
