Gareth Barry: 'Everton targeting unbeaten run-in'

Everton midfielder Gareth Barry reveals that the Toffees have set themselves a "mini-target" of continuing their unbeaten run until the end of the Premier League season.

Gareth Barry has revealed that Everton have set themselves a "mini-target" of continuing their unbeaten run until the end of the season.

The Toffees have not lost in six Premier League games and their 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday was arguably the best result of their campaign.

Their convincing win at Goodison Park took Everton into the top half of the table for the first time in four months, and experienced midfielder Barry has admitted that the club is now a much happier place to be.

"It is a mini-target for us to try stay unbeaten until the end of the season," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We are on a good run at the moment so being around the training ground it is a much better place to be.

"You can never put your finger on one aspect but it is just the way it goes, if you are winning games everyone seems to be playing better.

"These sort of things come when you are winning games, if you are losing games you are not playing well so it is always much easier when you are in a team winning games."

Everton travel to Aston Villa and West Ham United, and host Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland in their last four games.
