Paul Gascoigne: 'Everton's Ross Barkley won't be another Gazza'

Paul Gascoigne says that Everton's Ross Barkley will not become another Gazza, but he could be regarded as one of England's best players in the future.

Paul Gascoigne has claimed that there will "never be another Gazza", despite Everton midfielder Ross Barkley drawing comparisons to the former England star.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez and Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson have stated numerous times that the 20-year-old has similarities to Gascoigne's playing style.

However, the retired sportsman believes that Barkley can push on to create his own legacy in the game.

"There will never be another another Gazza, but there is a Ross Barkley who can become one of the country's best players," the Liverpool Echo quotes Gascoigne as saying.

"Ross has everything at the moment - power, strength, size and he is confident."

The midfielder signed a new long-term contract with Everton in the summer.
