James McCarthy frustrated with late slip-ups

Everton midfielder James McCarthy reveals that he and his teammates were annoyed to miss out on a victory for the second week in a row in the Premier League.

Everton midfielder James McCarthy has admitted that he and his teammates are frustrated to have dropped two points twice in two games this season.

The Toffees drew with Arsenal despite holding a two-goal lead with 10 minutes to play at Goodison Park, and they also conceded a late leveller to Leicester City in their first game of the campaign.

McCarthy told the club's official website: "We have let another two points slip like last week. We have had two draws so far and that's not good enough. Each and every one of us knows that.

"We need to bounce back quickly. I am sure [we will do] if the fans get behind us like they did against Arsenal – they were brilliant."

Roberto Martinez's side face Chelsea in their next Premier League clash on Saturday.
