Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that midfielder James McCarthy will be offered a new contract.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a possible move away from Goodison Park, but Martinez has insisted that McCarthy has a future on Merseyside.
"It will be natural," the Liverpool Echo quotes Martinez as saying. "James's contract is already performance related so the longer that he plays he gets a bigger reward.
"We will always be looking at rewarding players as they do well and James, clearly, is one of those."
Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Tim Howard and John Stones have all penned new deals with Everton this summer.
