Everton have confirmed that Wayne Rooney will wear the number 10 shirt for the Toffees next season.
Rooney, 31, completed an emotional return to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, with the England international signing a two-year contract with the club that he left for Manchester United in 2004.
Rooney wore '10' during the majority of his United career, and he will continue with that number at Everton as Romelu Lukaku, who had previously worn that shirt, prepares to move in the opposite direction.
