James Rodriguez admits that he is open to an Everton return, less than a year after he departed the club to join Al Rayyan.

James Rodriguez has admitted that he is open to an Everton return.

The Colombian international left the Toffees in September to join Qatari side Al Rayyan, following just one season at Goodison Park, which was the 2020-21 campaign.

During his time in England, the attacking midfielder featured 26 times across all competitions, scoring six goals, all of which came in the Premier League.

"I do not know, that would be a possibility, why not? If they want, I would be totally open to that, the issue is that they want to, I did not have any problem with anyone there, I went well before," he said on his Twitch channel.

Since leaving Everton, Rodriguez has managed to score five goals and create five assists this season, and he has previously claimed that it was former manager Rafael Benitez who did not want him at the club.

Everton will be in action tonight against Boreham Wood in the FA Cup.
