West Bromwich Albion planning late move for Everton's Cuco Martina?

Championship promotion chasers West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering a late deadline day move for out-of-favour Everton full-back Cuco Martina.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering a late swoop for out-of-favour Everton full-back Cuco Martina.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Stoke City and Feyenoord and has only made two matchday squads in all competitions for Everton this term, failing to come off the bench in either of those games.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti is open to letting Martina leave the club on deadline day, and Football Insider claims that Championship outfit West Brom are considering a last-gasp move.

The Baggies spent much of the campaign looking well on course for automatic promotion to the Premier League, but they have failed to win any of their last seven Championship games to see their lead over third place cut to only two points.

Slaven Bilic is therefore considering late deadline day additions in a bid to get the promotion bid back on track, and Martina is one of the players being considered.

However, with the 11pm English deadline fast approaching a move abroad looks more likely for Martina, with clubs from Portugal, Russia and China thought to be monitoring his situation.
