Didier Deschamps: 'Germany have no fear factor'

France boss Didier Deschamps insists that his players need not fear Germany ahead of their World Cup quarter-final meeting.

Didier Deschamps has insisted that his France players are not afraid of Germany ahead of this evening's World Cup quarter-final clash in Rio.

Joachim Low's side narrowly booked their place in the last eight following a pulsating extra-time win over Algeria earlier in the week.

Although admitting that the Germans boast the experience necessary to down Les Bleus, Deschamps says that his troops have nothing to fear in the Maracana.

"There is no apprehension or fear," he told reporters. "There is no reason for us to feel any. Germany are a solid, experienced side but this game will be a pleasure for us."
