Jens Lehmann expects World Cup glory for Germany

Jens Lehmann is certain Germany will have the quality to edge out Argentina in Sunday's World Cup final.

Jens Lehmann has revealed that he is expecting Germany to secure their fourth World Cup title inside the Maracana on Sunday night.

Germany are slight favourites ahead of the final against Argentina, but Lehmann is confident of seeing Joachim Low's side edge out the South Americans due to what he perceives as a superior squad.

"I am sure of it," the former Germany goalkeeper told fifa.com. "We've got the best team at this World Cup: we're organised, compact and fantastic on the ball.

"You can tell that a lot of our boys, including some of the ones on the bench, are used to playing in the latter stages of the Champions League.

"Germany have got greater strength in depth and we've got more players who play at the highest level every year."

The meeting is the third time the two nations have met in the final in the tournament.
