A brace from Marc Stendera ensured that Eintracht Frankfurt came from a goal down to beat hosts Hannover 2-1 in the Bundesliga this afternoon.
After a tense opening period, Hannover might have grabbed a lead in the 18th minute, only for Felix Klaus to see his shot parried away from danger by Lukas Hradecky in the Eintracht net.
The hosts failed to build on the early chance and they were only able to muster a few shots from range, as Leon Andreasen and Klaus both sent their speculative efforts wide of Hradecky's goal.
The home side were much improved after the break and Klaus was able to build on an early effort from Hiroshi Kiyotake to give his side a 1-0 advantage in the 51st minute.
Frankfurt were not to be too deflated, however, and they bounced back almost instantly to secure a leveller through Stendera, who found a way past the keeper to make it 1-1.
The visitors did not stop there either, as they then put themselves into a 2-1 lead when Stendera capped off a brace with some clever finishing to give Eintracht victory.
