Jake Livermore: 'Hull City will benefit from Europa League campaign'

Jake Livermore is confident that Hull City will benefit from playing in the Europa League this season.

Jake Livermore has suggested that playing in the Europa League can only improve Hull City as a squad.

Ahead of their first ever European campaign, Livermore believes that Steve Bruce's side can handle the problems that come with competing across Europe on Thursday nights.

"It's always great to travel around the world and play in different competitions, different types of games, it can only benefit myself and the squad," the midfielder is quoted as saying by the Hull Daily Mail.

"You're coming up against different opposition and different types of play. From that aspect, it's more opportunities to play football.

"There's up and downs from every aspect but I think for me personally it was of great benefit. My personal game came on a lot when I was at Tottenham and playing in the Europa League."

Hull will face either AS Trencin of Slovakia or Serbian side Vojvodina in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
