Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that he is pleased that the team once more has a solid defence, having not conceded in two Serie A games so far.
Moratti said that he was brought up on the understanding that a successful team had to be built on a strong defence, and is glad that new coach Walter Mazzarri has a similar outlook.
"The key to a winning team is a strong defence," Gazzetta dello Sport quotes Moratti as saying. "I learned this as a kid with Inter. When we won we always had a defence that worked together. Now we are once again beginning to have that.
"We need a coach who agreed with the club's policy and that was the only way he could improve. In Mazzarri we now have that."
Inter are currently second in Serie A following a 2-0 win over Genoa and a 3-0 victory against Catania.
