Half-Time Report: Ipswich Town 0-1 Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town lead Ipswich town at half time thanks to an Adam Clayton goal at Portman Road.

An Adam Clayton strike has given Huddersfield Town a 1-0 lead over Ipswich Town at half time at Portman Road.

Oliver Norwood had the first chance of the game and Scott Loach had to be alert to keep the midfielder's powerful free kick out.

Huddersfield continued to apply pressure on the Ipswich defence in the opening stages and Joel Lynch should have broken the deadlock when he put his header wide of Loach's goal.

Lee Martin started to become a threat for the hosts midway through the first half and his cross should have been converted by Daryl Murphy but the on-loan forward dragged his shot wide.

Huddersfield found the goal that looked to have been coming for the duration of the first period and it was Clayton who made the breakthrough with an accurate strike from 20 yards out.
