Italian champions Juventus claim to have given up on their pursuit of AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.
Falcao is expected to leave AS Monaco before the close of the transfer window and has been tipped to join Colombian compatriot James Rodriguez at Real Madrid.
Arsenal and Juventus have also been touted with an interest in the unsettled 28-year-old, but Juve chief executive Beppe Marotta has admitted that a transfer for him is 'not within the club's possibilities'.
"There are many rumours, but there has been no meeting," Marotta told Sky Sport Italia/em>.
"There is nothing concrete. We are already competitive for our aims. We need to be realistic that this is not within our possibilities."
The Old Lady will reportedly now turn their attention to trying to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United.
