Real Madrid to replace Angel di Maria with Radamel Falcao?

Real Madrid will reportedly use the £59.7m raised by the sale of Angel di Maria to fund a move for Monaco striker Falcao.

Real Madrid will reportedly use the funds raised by the £59.7m sale of Angel di Maria to Manchester United to bring Radamel Falcao to the club.

The Monaco forward has previously been linked with Liverpool this summer, but following their acquisition of Mario Balotelli, it seems as though Brendan Rodgers's transfer activity has finished.

According to The Express, Di Maria's sale has paved the way for Carlo Ancelotti to launch a £48m bid to bring the Colombian forward to the Bernabeu.

Moanco owner Dmitri Rybolovlev paid a similar fee for the 28-year-old last summer and it is believed that he will only sell his prized asset for close to £50m.

If Falcao does make the move to the European champions, he will become the second Monaco player to do so this summer after James Rodriguez's £60m move to the Spanish capital last month.
