Leeds United start strongly at Ewood Park but have to settle for a goalless draw against Blackburn Rovers after 45 minutes.

Leeds United have shaded a tight first half against Blackburn Rovers but both sides are locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes at Ewood Park.

The visitors attacked in numbers early on and Blackburn needed a brave block from Grant Hanley to stop Ross McCormack putting Leeds ahead.

Rovers keeper Jake Kean was then forced into action from a corner to keep out a strong header from Tom Lees.

Jordan Rhodes had Blackburn's first effort on target before Luke Varney flashed wide with a powerful strike from distance.

Michael Appleton's side came into the match before the break but were unable to stop the first half ending in a stalemate.
