Luke Varney has revealed that he is "desperate" for Ross McCormack to stay at Leeds United.
McCormack has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough, who have reportedly made three bids for the striker which have all been rejected.
Varney, who alongside McCormack scored in the win against Ipswich Town, says that losing the 27-year-old would be a huge loss.
"It's completely up to Ross, but we're all desperate for him to stay," Varney said in the Yorkshire Evening Post. "It would be to the massive detriment to the team if he leaves now.
"I'm sure the gaffer's desperate for him to stay too. We all are because he's a great part of our team."
McCormack has three goals so far this season.
