Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson glad for international break

Leicester City manager Nigel Clough says that the international break should allow the club to reduce their injury list.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that the international break should allow the Foxes the necessary time to reduce their injury list.

Pearson has fielded the same starting lineup in Leicester's last six matches but may be able to welcome back the attacking threats of Chris Wood and Gary Taylor-Fletcher when the Championship season resumes in 10 days' time.

"We've got some options already available to us and hopefully, by the time we reconvene, Chris Wood and Gary Taylor-Fletcher will also be available again," Pearson told the club's official website.

"Sean St Ledger will also be nearer to fitness and, of course, we've got to get our internationals all back safe and well, but we have a couple of weeks to utilise to our advantage."

Leicester, who have picked up 23 points from their opening 11 games and sit third in the table, welcome Huddersfield Town to the King Power Stadium on October 19.
