Brendan Rodgers has acknowledged that Leicester City's efforts since the resumption of action after the World Cup 'have not been good enough'.
The Foxes had appeared to have turned a corner before the tournament in Qatar after recording four wins from five matches in the Premier League.
However, the East Midlands outfit have lost each of their last four fixtures in the top flight, scoring just the one goal in the process.
The latest of those defeats came on Saturday afternoon as they succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the hands of neighbours and rivals Nottingham Forest.
Although Leicester reached half time at the City Ground on level terms, a double from Brennan Johnson earned Forest a potentially-pivotal victory in the context of their season.
At a time when Forest now sit five points clear of the relegation zone, Leicester are just two points above the bottom three and last place.

While Rodgers has indicated that he was satisfied with some of his team's play versus Forest, he admitted that his team were not performing to the standard required.
Speaking to Match of the Day, Rodgers said: "In the second half we weren't good, I thought in the first half we were the better team but didn't take our chances. We felt good at half time but we started the game disappointingly and we had two big chances to go 1-0 up before they scored and we left the space too open and they broke away from that.
"In fairness to Brennan Johnson, he finished his chances really well. He scored his two chances and we weren't able to. We started the game slowly and the passing wasn't precise enough in the second half.
"First half we looked dangerous in the game. You can never get comfortable in the Premier League, you have to take that initiative and we didn't do that. The pitch was difficult as well, it was a bit bobbly so the ball is not going to get there as quickly as you would like.
"We are doing our very best but we have just not been good enough. We have to do our best and we will keep fighting."
Leicester are next in action when they play host to Brighton & Hove Albion on January 21.
