Former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher has claimed that Leicester City will be unable to keep hold of Harry Maguire.

Maguire, 25, was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, but Leicester priced the defender out of a move to Old Trafford.

The England international only recently signed a new long-term contract with the Foxes, which runs until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

However, Carragher has claimed that "one of the real big boys" will sign the Sheffield-born defender sooner or later.

"It's probably how long, unfortunately for Leicester fans, before one of the real big boys [comes in for him]," Carragher told Sky Sports News. "I just think it's only a matter of time - an English player as well - before he makes that move."

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer paid tribute to Maguire following Sunday's Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium, which was decided by a first-half Marcus Rashford goal.
