Leicester City are reportedly closing in on the January signing of veteran free agent striker Kevin Phillips.
Foxes manager Nigel Pearson admitted a possible interest in signing the 40-year-old earlier this month and now a deal is getting nearer, according to SportsDirect News.
Phillips has won promotion to the Premier League in recent years with Blackpool and Crystal Palace, and Pearson is said to be hoping that he can again prove to be a lucky omen.
Leicester are currently four points clear at the top of the Championship.
