Leicester City are believed to have agreed a fee for Queens Park Rangers full-back Danny Simpson.
Sky Sports News reports that a £2m bid for the ex-Newcastle United man was accepted on Friday.
Simpson made 33 appearances for the Hoops last season as they gained promotion from the Championship, and started their first game back in the Premier League, but has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Chilean World Cup star Mauricio Isla.
Nigel Pearson is seemingly close to bringing the 27-year-old to the Foxes as competition for Richie de Laet.
Rangers manager Harry Redknapp admitted this week that he would be willing to allow several of his fringe players to leave before the close of the transfer window, and Armand Traore may yet join Crystal Palace.
