Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson bemused by transfer speculation

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson reveals that he is bemused by early speculation of his transfer targets for his side's Premier League campaign next season.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has admitted that he has been bemused by early speculation regarding his transfer plans for his side's Premier League campaign.

The Foxes earned promotion to the top flight two weeks ago and have already been linked with players such as Federico Macheda and Mark Davies, which Pearson has vehemently denied.

"It makes me smile the way the speculation starts again and you are linked to players who are nowhere near our radar," Pearson told the Leicester Mercury. "It really is quite bemusing.

"We will do our business in the way we always try to do it, but I can't stop other people trying to link us with players that we are not interested in.

"It goes with the territory and the time of the year. People have to start getting busy again."

Leicester face Queens Park Rangers in their Championship clash on Saturday.
