Adam Lallana: 'We have extra incentive to go far in FA Cup'

Adam Lallana says that Liverpool have an "extra incentive" to win the FA Cup following their failure to reach the Capital One Cup final.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has claimed that he and his teammates have "extra incentive" to win the FA Cup after failing to reach the Capital One Cup final.

The Reds could have been one game away from picking up their first piece of silverware under manager Brendan Rodgers, but they lost to Chelsea in the semi-finals.

Tonight, the Reds will take on Championship side Bolton Wanderers in a fourth-round replay in the FA Cup following their goalless draw at Anfield a fortnight ago.

"We've said we want to win a trophy this year and we're disappointed not to have got to Wembley in the Capital One Cup," Lallana told the club's official website. "So it's extra incentive for us to go far.

"Every kid dreams of going to Wembley and lifting the FA Cup, but you've got to do the hard yards to get there. It's going to be another tough game and obstacle in front of us in Bolton."

Liverpool have suffered just one defeat in 11 games in all competitions.
