Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum are all ruled out of Liverpool's International Champions Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund this evening.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been ruled out of Liverpool's International Champions Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund this evening.

The African duo only returned to first-team training on Friday, having been given extended breaks following their World Cup exploits for Egypt and Senegal respectively.

Neither has picked up an injury, but they will not feature against Dortmund in Charlotte, while midfielder Marko Grujic will also sit out the game for the same reason.

Georginio Wijnaldum is also absent after suffering from a virus over the past two days, although the Dutchman has recovered from the muscle injury which saw him miss out on the recent friendlies against Bury and Blackburn Rovers.

Manager Jurgen Klopp will be without the services of Pedro Chirivella too, with the youngster suffering from a minor back problem.

The Reds will name a 23-man matchday squad for the first of their three-game tour of the United States, and will be joined by new signing Xherdan Shaqiri next week.
