Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was pleased for the club's supporters and owners after their Carling Cup semi-final victory over Manchester City.
A 2-2 draw on the night at Anfield was enough to earn the Merseysiders a 3-2 aggregate win over Roberto Mancini's side.
"It's not been the best times for the football club and it's a fantastic reward for the supporters who have stood by us and for the owners it's a first final," Dalglish told Sky Sports News.
The Reds will take on Championship side Cardiff City in the Wembley final.
