Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has revealed that he has been impressed by the "phenomenal" form of Daniel Sturridge this season.
The 24-year-old has scored 21 goals in 24 games for the Merseysiders during the current campaign to help them mount a Premier League title challenge.
Fowler now believes that the England international has found his rightful home at Anfield following a move from Chelsea in January 2013.
"I see all the qualities an international striker needs. I have been really impressed by Daniel. There was a lot of pressure on him when he came to Liverpool," Fowler told the club's official website.
"He has had a few blips along the way but thankfully he has found his place at Liverpool and is setting the world alight. He's a phenomenal player."
Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign this Sunday when they make the trip to bitter rivals Manchester United.
