Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah will aim to set a new personal goalscoring record when the Reds face Watford in Saturday's early Premier League kickoff.

The Egyptian has started the 2021-22 season as he means to go on with nine goals and three assists from nine appearances in all competitions, including six strikes from seven Premier League outings.

Salah has now found the back of the net seven times in a row across all competitions, and a goal at Vicarage Road would see him score for the eighth game running within the big five European leagues for the very first time.

The 29-year-old certainly has fond memories of playing Watford as well - netting his first Liverpool goal against the Hornets in August 2017 and scoring four of his side's five goals in a 5-1 Anfield thrashing in March 2018.

Salah boasts a total of eight goals from six top-flight encounters with the Hornets, who will see Claudio Ranieri take charge of his first game for the club on Saturday lunchtime.

Despite the ongoing speculation surrounding his future, Salah recently affirmed that he is "happy" at Liverpool, with his deal due to expire in 2023.
