Liverpool 'aiming to conclude Jurgen Klopp negotiations within 48 hours'

Liverpool are reportedly 48 hours away from naming Jurgen Klopp as their new manager.

Liverpool are reportedly aiming to secure the services of Jurgen Klopp within the next 48 hours.

The Reds are on course to name the former Borussia Dortmund coach as their new manager by the end of the week, according to BBC Sport.

Klopp is said to have requested that ex-Dortmund coaches Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz are included in his backroom staff at Liverpool.

The Merseyside outfit sacked previous boss Brendan Rodgers after three trophy-less years in charge following last Sunday's 1-1 draw with neighbours Everton.

Klopp has reportedly agreed to work within Anfield's existing structure, which includes a transfer committee that confers on all player purchases.

Rodgers's former assistant Sean O'Driscoll, first-team coach Gary McAllister and development head Pep Lijnders oversaw a training session with Liverpool's non-international players earlier today.
