Brendan Rodgers proud of Liverpool triumph

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is proud of his side's focus during their 6-0 demolition of Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted his pride with his side's 6-0 demolition of Newcastle United in the Premier League.

The Reds ran riot at St James' Park on Saturday to remain seventh in the table with three games left to play.

"As a manager you take great pride in watching your team play like that," BBC Sport quotes Rodgers as saying.

"Our concentration and focus as well as our quality was outstanding and you have to give credit to the players for that."

Liverpool return to action next Sunday when they welcome local rivals Everton to Anfield.
