Raheem Sterling calls on Liverpool to show "courage" at Manchester City

Liverpool midfielder Raheem Sterling says that Liverpool will "be fine" in their next two games at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur if they play their normal game.

Liverpool teenager Raheem Sterling has called on his teammates to show "courage" when they visit Manchester City next week.

Sterling netted the opener and laid on the assist for Daniel Sturridge's winner in his side's 2-1 triumph over Southampton at Anfield yesterday.

With a trip to the champions followed by an away game at Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool's forthcoming challenges look tough, but Sterling has said they will prevail if they stick to their usual game plan.

"If we play our normal game, we'll be fine in those two games," he told the club's official website. "Today we showed courage and that's what we need to show at City next week.

"We'll go out and play our usual game, and hopefully we can get the three points. Last season we had a tough start as well but we got the wins.

"That's what we're looking to do, taking it game by game. We'll go out there next week and try to do our best and get the three points again."

Sterling scored the last time Liverpool faced Manchester City in the league, which finished in a 3-2 victory for the Anfield side.
