Swansea end their first Premier League season in 11th place after beating Liverpool 1-0 in their final game at Liberty Stadium.

Swansea end their first season in the Premier League with an impressive 1-0 victory over Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium.

The first meaningful effort on goal came from Joe Allen after nine minutes, but his shot was off target.

Maxi Rodriguez had Liverpool's first attempt, but the Argentine missed the target with his shot.

On 23 minutes, Gylfi Sigurdsson saw his shot blocked by Liverpool's defence.

Minutes later, Jonjo Shelvey was put through, but Swansea's defence was equal to the midfielder's effort.

Swansea began to pile forward as Sigurdsson got another shot on goal, but his attempt was unsuccessful.

Liverpool started to come into the game late on in the second half, with Andy Carroll just missing the target on 37 minutes.

The striker then had a header on goal on 40 minutes, but his effort was cleared.

The half-time whistle went with both sides level at 0-0.

Jordan Henderson drove towards goal on 51 minutes, but his finish could not match the build up play.

Scott Sinclair had a chance on 60 minutes, but the winger's finish was wide of the mark.

Craig Bellamy, who had earlier replaced Stewart Downing, had a chance on 65 minutes but he was also wide of the mark.

Swansea hit a killer blow on 86 minutes, when Danny Graham scored from a Angel Rangel assist.

Swansea then saw out the game to secure all three points to finish in 11th place, while Liverpool end the season in 8th place.
