Spain forward Marco Asensio is reportedly concerned about his future at Real Madrid and will seek assurances about game time from Julen Lopetegui after the World Cup.

Marco Asensio has reportedly arranged to meet new Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui to seek assurances about game time next season.

The 22-year-old, who is currently with the Spain squad at the 2018 World Cup, scored 11 times in 53 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos during the 2017-18 campaign.

However, Asensio struggled for consistent game time at the Bernabeu last term season under Zinedine Zidane's leadership.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the former Mallorca man will seek assurances from Lopetegui over his role at Real after he returns from international duty.

Liverpool were reported to have launched a British-record £150m bid for Asensio earlier in June.
