Atletico Madrid are reportedly still targeting the signature of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez at the end of the season.
Diego Simeone failed with a January bid for Suarez last season but has not given up hope of bringing the Uruguayan forward to Spain in the summer.
Madrid face a fight to keep star striker Radamel Falcao at the end of the season and have singled out Suarez as a viable replacement, according to The Sun.
Suarez has been in scintillating form this season and leads the Premier League scoring charts with 10 goals in 12 games.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe thanks to his impressive displays, with Manchester City also thought to be keen on the South American hitman.
