Liverpool are reportedly considering a late move to sign Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos before the 11pm deadline on August 31.
The Reds have made just one signing so far this summer, with defender Ibrahima Konate joining from RB Leipzig for £36m earlier in the window.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his squad and according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Liverpool have identified Ocampos as a potential target.
The 27-year-old has three years remaining on his contract and the La Liga side would command a substantial fee if the Reds made a serious push to land the Argentine this summer.
Ocampos, who joined Sevilla from Marseille in 2019, was the club's top scorer in his first season at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, as they went on to finish fourth in La Liga and win the Europa League.
The forward has made 90 appearances across all competitions for Los Nervionenses, scoring 25 goals and providing nine assists.
