Liverpool line up Loic Remy move?

Liverpool will launch a bid for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, according to a report in the Daily Express.

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to make a move for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy in the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman is seen as a ideal replacement for Luis Suarez, who will miss the opening six games of next season after receiving a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Merseyside club are confident that the Uruguayan will stay at the club in the summer, though they will be lacking in firepower with the striker out for such an extended period.

Andy Carroll will be returning to Anfield after his season-long loan at West Ham United, but the England forward is likely to leave the club permanently this summer.

Manager Brendan Rodgers is expected to make the move for Remy to fill the gap, according to the Daily Express.

The 26-year-old has an £8m release clause and, with QPR heading for relegation, the former Marseille striker is thought to be keen on the move.

Arsenal and Newcastle United are the other sides interested in Remy, who joined QPR in January.
