Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly sent scouts to watch Reading's Jordan Obita in action over recent weeks.
Rodgers is thought to be eager to bolster his left-back options during the summer, largely because Jose Enrique has struggled to overcome a persistent knee injury, while Aly Cissokho has failed to hold down a regular place in the team.
Among a number of targets for the Reds boss is 20-year-old Obita, who has received high praise for his performances in the Championship this season, according to The People.
Obita has made 26 appearances for the Royals in all competitions this season.
