Liverpool are reportedly preparing to battle it out with Napoli to take Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila on loan.
The Reds are said to be interested in making a move for the Frenchman, but they face stern competition from the Serie A outfit, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Rafael Benitez's side are thought to be readying a loan offer with a view to a €10m (£8.2m) permanent deal at the end of the season.
However, Rubin are believed to be looking for closer to €15m (£12m), and the Reds feel that they can engineer a short-term deal for the defensive midfielder.
