Report: Liverpool interested in Inter Milan, Chile midfielder Gary Medel

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan and Chile midfielder Gary Medel following his Copa America performances for the hosts and tournament winners.

Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing Inter Milan's Gary Medel, according to a report.

The Chilean midfielder, who has Premier League experience from his time with Cardiff City, played a key role in securing the 2015 Copa America for the tournament hosts.

According to La Tercera, Liverpool were impressed with Medel's performances during the tournament and is now on their transfer radar following Steven Gerrard's departure.

Despite his good form for the Nerazzurri last season after his move from Cardiff, Medel's future at the club is unclear after their signing of midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.
