Sergi Canos 'asks to leave Liverpool'

Liverpool youngster Sergi Canos reportedly asks to leave the club in search of more regular first-team football at a London-based club.

Liverpool winger Sergi Canos has reportedly asked to leave the club in search of first-team football.

The 19-year-old's current deal runs out at the end of next season, and having played just nine minutes in the Premier League this term - on the final day of the campaign - he is keen to look for more regular football.

The Spaniard spent the vast majority of last season on loan with Brentford in the Championship, making 39 appearances in all competitions and scoring seven goals in the process.

A number of Portuguese clubs are understood to be interested in the youngster, but BT Sport reports that the player himself is eager for a move to a London club.

Watford and Queens Park Rangers are thought to be looking at a possible deal, with Liverpool setting a £4m price tag on the highly-rated teen.
