Two goals from Joao Victor helped Real Mallorca record a 4-0 home victory over Villarreal this afternoon.
The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 41st minute, before vice-captain Juan Luis Marti doubled Mallorca's advantage eight minutes after the restart.
Victor added his second of the match in the 65th minute to put the game beyond the reach of visiting Villarreal.
Just two minutes later Mallorca had their fourth of the evening when captain Jose Nunes came up from the back to head past Diego Lopez in the away goal.
The victory has allowed Mallorca to leapfrog Villarreal in the La Liga table.
